Men who add their girlfriends to their auto car insurance policies will usually find that this move cuts their insurance bill by several hundred dollars. It turns out that girlfriends can lower car insurance rates because they are usually less risky drivers than their boyfriends. Insurance companies view women as safer drivers, and couples as better risks than single people.
These companies may also offer discounted family policies to couples who are living together. Getting married can bring down one's car insurance price even mo re. Of course, this is not always the case. If your significant other has a bad driving record, then adding them to your policy could actually cause your rates to increase. Before sharing a car insurance policy, you should ask your partner about her driving history.

A report by 4autoinsurancequote.org says that recent credit crunch in America has led to the increase of car insurance fraud cases. Mike Mckee, senior special agent, NICB, agrees with the report and says that car insurance fraud cases increase in times of economic downturn. Most car insurance fraud cases involve first-time offenders who destroy their cars in a deserted area, claim the car insurance, pay off for the car, and make a profit.
Car insurance fraud is most prevalent in states like California and Florida because there is a lot of open land and streams where the car could be safely destroyed. The report also notes that a number of car insurance frauds are done with the tacit or direct involvement of the car dealers.

As we witness the tragedy in Japan, along with recent natural disasters around the world, it becomes clear that the property damage wrought by nature can be extreme.
As part of your preparation for a calamity on this scale, it is wise to think about how you can protect your physical assets, such as your car. Fortunately, many US car insurance companies offer auto car insurance that covers natural disasters. In general, cheap auto insurance does not cover flood, tsunami, earthquake, falling tree, or any other natural disaster-related damage. Many companies offer supplemental policies that cover natural disasters, and information on these policy options can easily be found online. There are aggregator sites which allow you to search multiple quotes at once, and these are probably the best option to save you time and make comparison shopping simpler.
